Mcgrail The Dara Knot
Tasting notes
The Dara Knot is derived from the Irish word “doire,” meaning “oak tree.” It represents the oak tree’s roots and the ways in which they intertwine, representing unwavering strength. The Dara Knot is the third wine in a series of four symbolic Celtic labels that pay homage to the McGrail family’s Irish heritage and is primarily Petit Verdot.
Extremely dark and intense red color. Aromas of Cassis, black cherry, plum, vanilla, and black olives with a hint of spice. Toasty vanilla on the palate with umami flavors, tea leaves, and rose petals. This is the most earthy wine of our Celtic series. The tannins have a little grip to them which leaves us with a mouth-watering finish. Pair with Carne Asada tacos or a Rosemary Dijon Prime Rib.
